Recap of 2015

Hues of green caught my eye this a/w 2015; with names like Moss green , Black Forest green , and Grass green. Is this the fashion world telling us to become more conscious of our mother earth?

"Greenis the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety. Dark green is also commonly associated with money" (http://www.color-wheel-pro.com/color-meaning.html).

With this thought I realized that 2015’s zeitgeist had intentions of  growth, with our planet and our lifestyle choices. I can see growth in myself and my consciousness of indulging in mother nature. I look forward to the new year and the new intentions that are going to be set for 2016.

Below you can see some designers that killed the color green this year, enjoy.

Vegetation

‘Love of nature ( the majesty of mountains, the lasting love of oceans).' Angelou, Maya. “Love & Relationships.” Rainbow in the Cloud: The Wisdom and Spirit of Maya Angelou. N.p.: n.p., n.d. 39. Print.

I recently did a project on A/W in the West Coast. Hues of green, red, brown and blue with tints of yellow are depicted in the photos I captured. Winter in the desert is dry and lifeless, yet color is still shown in the vegetation and weather. The current zeitgeist during A/W 2015 is a mirror image of the plant life above. Colors in clothes are colorful to match the colorful climate in California: forest greens , bright sunshine yellows, and tints of browns  are mostly shown while fashion is still sticking to hobo  garbage bag silhouettes.

The concept of Goddess Divine was inspired by the movie Pride & Prejudice you can find tips on fashion with industry based insight and how to relay the trends in not only fashion but in lifestyle as well. Her aesthetically pleasing eye, alluring demeanor and charm is easily identifiable through Goddess Divine.

Mr. Darcy: What endearments am I allowed?

Elizabeth Bennet: Well let me think…“Lizzy” for every day, “My Pearl” for Sundays, and…“Goddess Divine”… but only on *very* special occasions.
